Excellence & Honest Dental Care
Smoking Cessation Support
As dental health care professionals we provide services to better oral health, but we are also concerned with our patients' overall health & well-being. With that said, we kindly ask our patients to help us keep our dental office a smoke-free environment.
We understand that smoking can be a touchy subject for both smoker's and those who would rather not be exposed to second-hand smoke.
It is widely known that almost 70% of adult smokers say they want to quit over health concerns —but smoking is a very difficult habit to break.
On top of bone disease, stained teeth, and smelly breath, the four leading causes of death in the United States are cardiovascular disease, stroke, cancer, and lung disease —all of which are strongly linked to cigarette–smoke exposure.
We would like to remind our patients' that the risk of smoke-related illnesses get worse with age, but these are in fact preventable–illnesses, and we encourage our patients to refrain from smoking —all forms of smoking.
For some helpful resources that provide free, accurate, evidence-based information, and professional assistance to quit smoking, please consider the following websites and we kindly thank you for not smoking.
