Best of Buzz Awards 2025

Honoring the Best in Business
The Fairfield-Suisun Best of Buzz Awards aims to spotlight businesses operating in good standing with the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce, and honor organizations and individuals doing business within the city limits of Fairfield, Suisun, Cordelia, Suisun Valley, and Rio Vista.

On October 25th, Dr. Laurel joined by her son, attended the Annual Red Carpet for the Best of 2025 Buzz Awards after being nominated for Best Dentist in the Fairfield-Suisun valley.

At the awards ceremony, out of a host of reputable nominees, Mora Family Dentistry took home the award for —Best Dentist!

"Thanks for your incredible support; we were honored to receive the very first award of the evening! We are deeply touched by all the kind words and warm recognition, and we feel grateful to have served this wonderful community for over 35+ years. We appreciate you, @fairfieldsuisunchamber!"

"To our team members, past and present, thank you for your dedication in helping us provide exceptional dental care to all our patients. We look forward to continuing to serve our community for many more years, and generations, to come!"

—Dr. Laurel

Volunteer Vaccinator
Though well over half of America’s population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, there is still more work to be done!

It was Dr. Laurel’s greatest honor and pleasure to lend a helping hand with the Solano County community in its COVID-19 vaccination efforts for eligible adults and children.

As a Volunteer Vaccinator, Dr. Laurel applied her medical training to help administer vaccine shots as well as monitor patients immediately following vaccination.

The CDC Foundation
Recently, Mora Dentistry was once again hard at work with the fine medical professionals at The CDC Foundation's philanthropic arm of the California Dental Association.

With the support of volunteer dentists such as Dr. Lauro, The CDC Foundation was able to safely perform 271 dental procedures, which included fillings, cleanings, and even tooth extractions, for a total of $28,211 worth in patient care.

To our valued patients and dental colleagues,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot post Covid-19 and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.

"While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety."

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about some of the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

"You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment."

We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff:

• On-demand, office-wide, centralized air filtration system from GPS Air for maximum airborne contaminant removal.

• Diffusion of essential oils that are anti-viral in nature throughout the day.

• Reduction of aerosols: using our Isolite (now re-branded as Zyris) mouthpiece system and implementation of an extraoral vaccum to significantly reduce the aerosols that are produced by procedures. We expect the second piece of the system will be in place by the time of your appointment.

• Screening our full staff, including temperatures, before even allowing any patients inside our practice to ensure that we are symptom free before treating patients.

• Our office will screen you for symptoms before your appointment. This form will be made available to download/complete on our website and may be requested by email prior to your appointment. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

• At this time, the waiting room is closed. You will be screened with your temperature before admission into the office. This means that ONLY patients are allowed inside at this time.

• Hand sanitizers are available for use and are recommended as you enter the office.

• You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

• We are still open to pick up products and pay on your account. Please call us when you arrive or call us in advance to make sure we will be here as our hours can vary daily right now.

• Tele-health visits are available now, as needed. This is necessary to triage dental emergencies OR if someone cannot be seen in the office due to medical reasons or other limitations. Please call for more information to set one up if you are in need of being seen but can’t come into the office. These can be usually filed to your insurance as a limited exam and may be paid as if you were in the office. Otherwise, the fee for such a visit is equivalent to a limited exam in our office.

"We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice."

If you have a dental need, please know that we are open to address any needs you have right now. If you had to reschedule your hygiene visit due to illness or are scheduled in the next few months, please be aware that schedule can change some as we also accommodate the health needs of our own staff.

This may mean that you may be scheduled with a different dentist than you normally see to keep your dental care on track. It also may mean that we aren’t using the Cavitron (the ultrasonic scaler) at your visits right now. I want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to make sure your dental needs are being met.

"We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends. Stay healthy and safe!"

Sincerely,
Your Dental Team at Mora Family Dentistry

Fairfield PD Motorcycle Training Competition

Saturday, June 2nd 2018, Mora Family Dentistry was proud to join in on the weekend festivities in support of Fairfield, CA Police Department's 5th Annual Motorcycle Training Competition!

Each year an officer is honored for their service in the community. This year, Fairfield Police Department paid tribute to the memory of one of our local heros who died in the line of duty, CHP Officer Martin Lendway.

We had a blast witnessing nearly 75 Motorcycle Police Officers representing various police departments across Northern California come out and demonstrate their motorcycle skills. As with any healthy competition, this police sponsored competition was an excellent moral builder among police departments as officer's put their motorcycle skills to the test on a timed course made up of a series of tight turns and difficult maneuvers.

More importantly, this was yet another great opportunity for us to come together & interact with our community, especially with the brave men & women of our local police departments.

Thanks again for having us, and thank you for your service!
